This is the fifth of a six part series to show the mechanics of a Red Raid. The fourth bosses you encounter are the sisters. This is usually the hardest part of the Red Raid as the attacks are quick and unforgiving. Remain vigilant and be quick to dash out of an area of danger.
Marvel Heroes Red Raid is the harder difficulty raid of the two raids that are currently available as end game content for level 60 Heroes. The primary purpose behind this raid is to collect Hearts of Demonfire which are used to purchase recipe’s and tokens from the Raid Vendor (Hogun located in the SE part of the map) in Odins Palace (Chapter 9). Although these raids also drop uniques, it is assumed that you have a full set of uniques with challenge bonuses already. The only other reasons to do the raids would be to get the Surtur Rune that is used in crafting recipes and get Costume Cores that drop from the bosses.
Marvel Heroes Red Raid – Sisters
Here the raid splits into three groups. The split is based on each of the bosses resistance to specific attacks. They are not immune but the damage output is significantly less.
- Upper Sister is resistant to Energy damage
- Middle Sister is resistant to Physical damage
- Lower Sister is resistant to Mental Damage
You want to split the groups as evenly as possible and have an AOE hero in each group. Note that when you first enter move immediately to the left or right of center as a cone attack is imminent.
A large cone appears and fills up as the Sister charges up for the attack. Dash out of it immediately as it does damage and slows you which is a deadly combo if it doesn’t one shot you as bubbles usually follows.
There are two bubbles attacks. The bubbles form and pop dealing damage almost immediately. You have to be prepared to move as soon as you see them form.
Area Bubble Attack:
The Sister flies up into the air and inundates the area with bubbles. Focus on avoiding these bubbles as they will one shot most Heroes caught. The sister is also immune to attack until she starts descending back to the floor. The Fire Giant and adds will follow.
After about three cone attacks the Sister will perform a targeted bubble attack meaning the bubble will form on you. Be wary as they will target each Hero in the area and if it doesn’t kill will do massive damage and slow the Hero. There will be times when there are adds (and Fire Giant up) when the targeted bubbles attack comes, so remain vigilant.
After the Sister does the Area Bubble attack, as soon as she hits the floor a Fire Giant will spawn. Kill it quickly while the AOE Hero takes care of the adds. The fire Giant debuffs the group causing lower damage output while it is alive and the adds multiply quickly if not killed.
If you can manage to avoid dying then it should be smooth. Here’s is an in depth walk through on MH forums.
