This past weekend, I participated in the Free Weekend Weekend event hosted by Steam and the game that stood out to me the most was Injustice Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition. This game was developed but NetherRealm Studios [but in this particular case, independent video game developer High Voltage Software had a hand in porting this] and was published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. This is a solid DC superhero fighting game with a style similar to Mortal Kombat, and you can get this game at the affordable price of $19.99. I found this game to be enjoyable to some extent; reason being that the fighting style of the game comes off kind of stiff. But I assure you, that with enough practice, it can be most gratifying.
In the video below, you will see one of the matches I played with my friend Greg. I, under the alias of DarkLink [and the one in video], selected Cyborg and Greg, under the alias of oldgreg, selected Nightwing. We discussed our thoughts on the game as a whole, and even though we were up to our usual antics, our match against each other was no laughing matter. We also were discovering mechanics of the game as well played, and obviously we were playing on a 360 controller. I couldn’t imagine playing this, let alone any other fighting game, on a keyboard and mouse.
